Conference Weekend:

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures this weekend (and most were on my phone) but I will try to fill you in with what I have :)
Aaron went to the temple Friday morning with a man he taught and baptized, who was getting married in the temple! So cool! My husband was sweet enough (without me even asking) to take the camera and take some pictures of him there. As he said, "So you can blog about it..." Haha, thanks Hon!
On Friday night Aaron and I went to his Mission Reunion! It was fun! It was for his old mission president who he only had for 8 months. Aaron knew quite a few of the Sisters and Elders there and so it was fun to meet some of them and hear stories from the mission. Not to brag, but I heard numerous times throughout the evening that, "Elder Butler was our FAVORITE missionary, in the WHOLE mission, over ALL the two years we were there! He is amazing!" Things I already knew, but so fun to hear!
We then went up to the Cabin in Wallsburg for conference. We had a fun time eating, getting little sleep, watching conference and playing with our little cousins, who all just took a great liking to Aaron.
Between one of the sessions Aaron took me out to the Farm, where he works and showed me all the different equipment and how it works. Here we are sitting in the tractor where he sits all day, everyday, plowing (and whatever else you do) with hay.
Aaron's home away from home...the HUGE Green Tractor.
I had to get in this little contraption because it felt just like DISNEYLAND (the buzz lightyear ride). It had little remote controls that you could push and move (or shoot!) and it had a safety bar that came down to keep you in!
Here is Aaron watching conference in the theater and taking wonderful notes :)
We had the chance on Saturday to go help do some farmin'. Here is Aaron, John and Joe doing something with a water filter sprayer thing. Kristen and I just had a fun time watching and telling them what to do.
We also had to go do some more farmin' at night and so I found the warmest (and biggest) jacket they had at the cabin, bundled up and went out with Aaron :)
On Saturday night too the boys (and some of the girls...excluding Carlie and I, we were the cheerleaders) played football in the barn! It was so fun to watch them all!
Sunday we watched Conference, had delicious Caramel-Sticky-Gooey-Monkey Bread-Deliciousness Bread for breakfast and enjoyed being with family all day. That night most of the family left but we stayed since Aaron had work there in the morning. Bryce came over and we all played Apples to Apples and had a fun time playing the "Put the Oreo on your forehead and try to get it into your mouth without it falling" game. Overall it was a most wonderful weekend! :)

  1. Sounds like an awesome weekend! You guys are so much fun! I'm glad you are married to Aaron! (When I was packing I found the paper we drew of us with our million turtles someday because we were gonna be single and we hate cats. I think it's safe to say we both made a better decision!)
