The Day of My Birth:

Yes, that is right folks, yesterday, December 28th was my birthday! Woo Hoo!
It was a most wonderful day. This is how it all began:
Breakfast in bed, prepared by my sweet husband, and delievered by Aaron and my family.

I went out to find my AMAZING birthday wall that Aaron did! It was so cute and creative!
We then had a fun time going to a missionary transfer meeting with my parents

We then went to Dilly's Delli (one of my absolute FAVORITE places to eat!). We then played a fun "game" made up by my mom. Everyone in my family got a letter in my name and then some money. We had one hour at the mall to find a present that started with that letter. It was fun and everyone was really creative with their presents.
We then came back to the house, played Dance Kinect, cooked Tin Foil Dinners outisde on the fire-pit, we opened presents and played a fun game of Quelf. Overall it was a most wonderful birthday! Yay for 22!

Already Playing Catch-Up...

On Saturday we had Christmas Eve with the Butler Family. We had a yummy Christmas Eve meal, played some fun games, did the nativity and Aaron and I even did a lip-sync to "Feliz Navidad" for the talent show.

On Sunday we had Christmas with the Butlers. We started off by going to chuch, hearing mom and dad Butler speak and all of us singing in chuch (I had a solo, what?!?) and then we came back to the house for a yummy breakfast and Aaron even made his yummy biscuts and sasuage gravy. We then ran through the sheets to open up the presents. It was a wonderful time. It was great to have everyone gathered around and see them open our gifts. I received presents such as: a laminator, gift cards, a shower karaoke set and things for my computer. Aaron's gifts included: mats for his car, headphones, bread pans and a wireless mouse for his computer. They were all wonderful and much needed gifts! Thanks everyone! Mom and Dad Butler even got a nice big monitor from the kids. It was so fun to be with everyone. We then packed up our car and headed to the Hansen home for Christmas Eve, Christmas and the rest of the week with them. Christmas Eve at the Hansen home was fun. We had 4 missionaries over, we did the nativity (Aaron and I were Mary and Joseph) and the white elephant game.

We woke up Monday morning and had Christmas with the Hansen Clan. It was a blast. My gifts included: a new computer (I needed one!), an adorable "red telephone booth" chalkboard, our blog made into a book (I LOVE IT!) and a cute wallet from Aaron. Aaron also received gifts such as: LOTS of new clothes (YAY!), "Serious Mass" Powder, a Pull-Up Bar, a book and his favorite gift: a plastic basketball hoop that hangs on the door. It was a great day. We were surprised to have the family receive a "Kinect" and the last gift we opened was a "Disney" Kinect game and on it was a note that read, "We can't wait to go to Disney World with the family this summer!!!" Yay! You know what that means...a Summer Va-Ca. Woo Hoo! We are also in the process of convincing the parents to also go to Harry Potter World! Keep your fingers crossed, can't wait!

The plan this week is to have each person pick a day and an activity to do on that day. Today, dad picked for us to go see the "Mission Impossible 4" movie...it was WAY too intense for me! I also got my haircut (woo hoo!), I went shopping and then tonight has been spent with Aaron and I practicing "Whip My Hair Hurr" dance on the Kinect, and let me tell you, Aaron is really good!

***Sorry no pictures on this post. I have decided to enjoy the time with the family without worrying about taking pictures to document it all.

Love, From The Hansen Home :)

On the 6th Day...

Today we went to Grandma Butler's house and picked some of the oranges and lemons off her trees. We ended up picking about 7 big bags worth. So fun.
We also attended the "Butler Eve Eve" Christmas Party. We sang a song as a family and then Aaron sang a solo it was a great night. Can't believe it is almost Christmas!

On the 5th Day of Christmas Break...

Though we are staying at the Butler's this week, we hopped on over to my house for a couple hours to decorate our Gingerbread Houses. It was so fun and they turned out so cute, if I do say so myself :)

On the 4th Day of Christmas Break...

Yesterday we painted cute Christmas ornaments, it was so much fun! Aaron repainted a house that he started to paint when he was 9 and I painted a Santa Claus that moves when you pull his strings.
At night we also played a really fun night game of Sardines. We hid around the neighborhood and it was so fun finding people under cars or behind bushes and trying to hide with them.

We danced, doodled, watched "Meet Me In St. Louis" and just had a blast. What a fun day :)

On The 2nd Day of Christmas Break...

Tonight at the Butlers, for FHE, we went around the circle, by the Christmas Tree, and we told our favorite Christmas memories and then we listened to Mom Butler read a beautiful Christmas story.  No wonder they call it, “the most wonderful time of the year”.

Daily Christmas Log:

Okay, so I don't want to feel overwhelmed coming back to start school and trying to update the blog on everything that happened so...I am just going to write the "one coolest thing" that happened that day. So here is what happened yesterday:

Last night at the Butlers we played Pictionary with Christmas Carol Titles. Can you guess this one?
"Holly and Ivy" Haha, so clever!
Stephen then had the great idea to pull out the family Kazoos and sing every song after we guessed it...and that is exactly what we did :)
We now bring you..."Santa Claus Is Coming To Town".

"Santa! I Know Him!"

 We met Santa!
I couldn't have been more excited about it! We took a picture with him, he asked us how long we had been married, asked us what we had done to serve each other that day and then, finally, asked us what we wanted for Christmas. It was a most enjoyable experience. We will definitley be going next year. Merry Christmas!

P.S. Like my "hiatus" from blogging ;)
P.P.S. Basically same outfit, different day ;)

To Grandmother's House We Go:

On Saturday we went into Salt Lake City to see the beautiful temple lights. I had heard Deseret Book was doing a "Mechanics of Christmas" Gingerbread Cookie shop and so we decided to stop in. It was so fun!
Here is Aaron with his yummy cookie!
Oh yeah, and I met David Archuleta, and kissed him. NBD.
The rest of the pictures are us touring Temple Square. We were really lucky that it wasn't too cold and there was no snow! Yay! (Most pictures are taken by us...except for the occasional when someone walked by and felt bad for us and took the picture for us)
The lady who took the picture covered the flash. Haha.
We then headed to Grandma Wray's house. We enjoyed spending time with her, eating homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, Root Beer Floats and staying up late watching "White Christmas". It was the perfect weekend!
P.S. I am taking a "hiatus" this week from blogging because I HAVE to study for finals (I mean, it being the last time and all, I probably should) so don't expect another post for a little while :)
