Stake Musical Overview

So...3 weeks ago we participated in our Stake Musical! It was so much fun to do! I have not had a chance to breathe since then and so now I am finally sharing it with you (and don't worry...the other huge events that have happened will be blogged about shortly).
Aaron was basically the star of the show and was nicknamed "Dreamy" by multiple audience and ward members! We had such a fun time doing it and were told by the stake that we are NOT allowed to move...ever!

We also had so many wonderful people come see us including the Von Bose's, Mom Butler and Jake,  Grandpa and Grandma Hansen, the Story's, Carlie and Matt & Lauren! It was great!

Flashback: Sophomore Year

Life has been a little crazy so here is a quick post of Sophomore year. Hopefully I will get around to Junior Year, since Senior year has all been posted on this blog :)

Sophomore Year:
1. Worked at Aspen Grove for the summer and made some wonderful friends
 2. Moved to Liberty Square (don't even get me started) and scratched Lola up on a concrete pole
 3. Attended my first and last haunted corn maze
 4. Dressed up as the "Muses" from Hercules. So Cool!
 5. Lived with wonderful roommates and took fun roommate pictures and even made them into Christmas cards.
 6. Had a "Fatty Female Feast" on Valentines Day and made heart shaped pizzas!
 7. Got accepted to the London Study Abroad Program and went to London Spring Term! Best decision ever! I loved it so so so much!
Ta-Da! Sophomore Year!

Flashback: Freshman Year

I thought, it being my last week as a college student, I would reminisce about the past for years for the next couple of days. So...

 Freshman Year:
1. Met some of my best friends and roommate of 3 years, Mercedes Marie Kurtz
2. Attended every football game, sporting event or activity going on at BYU
3. Got interviewed by BYUtv for "hiking the Y" during Homecoming week and even made it on TV!
4. Dressed up as "Thing 1 and Thing 2" for Halloween
5. Made way too many music videos
6. Had a fun time making "mock" movie posters
7. Went to the Malt Shoppe dressed as Hairspray characters
8. Served as Relief Society President
It was probably my favorite year at BYU! Living in the dorms, eating at the Cannon Center, hanging out with Pre-Mish...love it!

Past Happenings:

Found some pictures on my phone the other day and forgot that I never posted them.
1. During conference Aaron attempted the "Katniss" braid on my hair. Pretty good job!
2. Conference at the cabin we participated in Emily and Joe's Bridal Shower and participated in the Newlywed Game. We took first, yeah baby!
3. Saw some deer hanging out in our backyard, pretty awesome.
4. Made delicious Panini sandwhiches for dinner the other night. It had pesto sauce, artichoke hearts, sliced turkey, provolone cheese and grilled red peppers.
P.S. Just got done "nannying" today for a family in our ward. Aaron and I watched them for 2 days. One of the kids came in really really REALLY early in the morning and crawled in the bed with us. He was wiggling all around. Aaron and I looked at each other and laughed...oh, a sign of things to come. I guess we can forget ever sleeping again. Haha.

E-A-S-T-E-R

We had a wonderful first Easter together as a married couple. We put together our combined Easter "basket" (ok, it was a pink bag because that is all I had). We then hid the bag together but acted excited to find it in the morning. It was filled with Easter eggs and some treats.
We both taught YW and YM and then came home to decorate Easter eggs. Sadly, when we went into the fridge, we only found 2 eggs, so we each decorated one :)
We then went to the Von Bose's house for a wonderful Easter dinner and sat with Mom Butler, who was not feeling well, and talked with her for a couple hours. So fun!

Quotable:

Last week at practice Aaron and I both got some funny remarks said about us, and so I thought I would share.

While Aaron was on stage, a teenage-age girl looked at me and said, "That's your husband???" I responded yes and asked her why she was so surprised. She said, "Because... you are so young!" I asked her how old I looked and she said, "I don't know, maybe 16!". Haha, what!?! I have been told I look young, but not 16! I guess that will come in handy when I am older.

As we were wrapping up rehearsal, the director was giving everyone notes. When she got to Jersey Boys (Aaron's number) she said, "You all just need to be more into it. Be like Aaron, he is like the 'All-American-Boy', he is really flirting with the audience!" One of the other older guys in the number yelled out, "That's not fair, Aaron is hot!". True...but very funny!

April 1st

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of when Aaron and I got engaged. As I was cuddling with Aaron today watching conference I thought to myself, "I am the happiest and luckiest girl in the world"...and I am. I can't wait for more anniversaries with my sweet husband!
