May Wedding(s)

We attended Emily and Joe's wedding a couple weeks ago. Both of their last names are Johnson so I affectionally called it a "Johnson & Johnson" Wedding :) It was a beautiful day and we were even able to go inside for the sealing. It was a fun time to be with family and cousins.
 The stunning Bride and Groom!
Carlie was asked to be a Bridesmaid and so she got to wear an adorable pink dress for the occasion!
Most of the pictures we took...had Carlie in them :) And most of them turned out like the ones below:
Thankfully we did get a good one!
It must run in the family because here is the Bro:
We took some cute shots outside the temple while we waited to take the big family shots:
 The adorable parents:
We then went to the luncheon at a place called Jeremiahs! They even made the marquee! Awesome!
Between the luncheon and reception we went and got Wendy's and set up a table on the stage behind the reception curtains so we could eat without ruining the reception.
 Some of my favorite people:
Ok, so maybe Carlie and I look a little similar...
We then joined in the dancing at the reception and had a blast dancing with our cousins:

The next wedding we went to last weekend was in Las Vegas and it was for Aaron's favorite cousin Alex! We were so happy we could go down for it! It was beautiful and SO fun to hang with family! I wish I would have taken more pictures...especially with family in them but that's ok.

Aaron was asked to be a groomsman and because the wedding colors were yellow and gray, he wore a gray tux and let me tell you...he looked GREAT in it!
Some fun wedding pics...Aaron is the one jumping really high!
I had Aaron "model" his tux for me and so here are some pics...(I may get in trouble for this but he looks so great, I couldn't not put them up!)
We even, finally, got some pictures of us...kind of :)
Here are some random snapshots that I took of the reception while Aaron stood in the line :(
Aaron was asked to sing their "first dance" song and he did a beautiful job! Everyone loved it!
We were sad it was such a short weekend because we had to leave early the next morning but we were able to play after the reception and talk together with everyone and it was wonderful!

Gifts

My parents gave me some pretty awesome gifts for Graduation. One of which was a sewing machine. No, I don't know how to sew...thanks for asking :) But I am going to try to learn...so I can at least make awesome Halloween costumes and matching clothes for my kids, just like my mom did.
My other gift was a filing cabinet. I am embarrassed to say that I am almost more excited for the filing cabinet! Typical Aubrie, loving to organize. I am so excited to have one and to put all my school, teaching stuff, handouts and everything else in there. It will be perfect!
Thanks Mom and Dad!

Past Date Nights

Here are some fun date nights that we have been on lately.

We are all about FREE and CHEAP! And so on this date we used Provo Beach Resort cards with money still on them to get some food (was poor quality food but it was free).
We also have lots of free movie passes (thanks to Dave and Suzanne for these) and so we went and saw a Football movie called the "Throwback"...once again not really quality (they had 40 year old men playing 18 year olds in High School) but it was great to get out.
Afterwards we used our Provo Beach Resort cards again and got a delicious Bluebell Ice Cream Root Beer Float! Yum!
The first week of May Aaron, Me, Chuck and her date Brigham went a saw the play "Father of the Bride" at the Hale theater (thanks Mom and Dad). It wasn't the best play I have seen there but it was fun to double with Chuck and to be at the Hale Theater.
On Friday, after finding out some disappointing news, we decided to go out to cheer me up. We went to Sumo's Shaved Ice. Best thing ever! Very similar to Bahama Bucks at home in AZ! We can't wait to go back! Summer is wonderful!
We then and went and saw the Avengers (free movie passes again). I didn't really want to see it but I was so glad I did! It was great! We both loved it!

The Provo Temple

Aaron and I woke up a little before 6am on Friday to go to the first session at the temple. We got up, dressed and ready to go when we realized both of our recommends were in Aaron's wallet which he had left at work. Haha, so we went back to bed. On Saturday we did the same thing and went to an early session. We stopped by the new Provo Temple Groundbreaking on our way home. The ceremony was over but we were able to walk the grounds. We are so excited for it to be done!

Mother's Day 2012

Here is how my wonderful Mother's Day went down:

Aaron made me a wonderful "breakfast in bed". He left me there until 10am because whenever he came in I pretended I was asleep because you are supposed to act surprised but he thought I was still sleeping so I eventually had to call him from our room telling him I was ready to get up.
He decorated our house so beautifully with lights, streamers, balloons with cute sayings and a "Happy Mother's Day" sign! I loved it all!
Chuck came over for dinner and we made homemade Cafe Rio! It was so fun to have us all in our small kitchen cooking together. And we will all attest...it was delicious!
We had the chance that evening so Skype with both of our families which was such a fun thing! We wish we could have been there to celebrate with them! We were able to see them open our gifts and talk to them about their special day! We sure have great Mom's!
Aaron spoiled me with gifts this year which included a cute cup with a lid and straw, for smoothies! He knew exactly what I wanted. My next gift was in the freezer....a big box of Otter Pops! Haha! I was so excited! Summer and my childhood in a box! Perfect!
His last gift was a "Bocce Ball" set. We have been talking about it for a while and he got one so we can play it together this summer! (This was my idea for him for Father's Day...so I guess I will have to think of a new one!)
Thanks sweet Aaron for the wonderful Mother's Day! It was perfect! Love You!
